On Sunday, June 1st, 2008, the election for the next PEAR Group will start. Thus all developers interested in running for a seat in the Group are invited to nominate themselves on the developers mailing list (pear-dev@lists.php.net). I'd like to nominate myself for the PEAR Group* I've been a member of the Group over the last year and have worked hard to keep the group moving forward and working to implement changes * I've played a big part in setting up new infrastructure (SVN,Wiki,Blog) and pushing for openness * I've been promoting PEAR at conferences (I'm give a PEAR talk at php|tek on may 22) * My goals for next year - Get PEAR2 out soon after php 5.3 with at least a couple high quality packages - Continue to promote PEAR - Get more people involved in infrastructure support - Find a way for the majority of the PEAR group to meet in person Feel free to ask me questions if you want to know anything else thanks -joshua eichorn
