I am throwing my name in the hat as well. I've been active in PEAR this past year through a side project, PHPT[1]. It is slated to become embedded with the Pyrus Installer to handle running tests via it and will become part of the PHP's core as a replacement to run-tests.php. I've also started developing some packages that conform to the PEAR2 standards that will eventually become part of the PEAR2. This next year I would help accomplish: * The release of Pyrus * Work on making PEAR2 packages and Pyrus specifically more easily embedded in other applications * Evangelize the use of the Pyrus Installer and PEAR2 libraries throughout the PHP open source and business communities * Help create relationships between PEAR2 and other OSS projects to try to help each other out instead of everyone continually re-creating the proverbial wheel * Help make PEAR2 the gold standard for code quality and best practices in PHP * Help modernize the code repositories through the continued use of SVN and helping configure a Git repository structure for PEAR. I think the PEAR and PHP communities are on the verge of some really great things and I believe PEAR2 will be at the fore-front of those. I look forward to continuing to help steer PEAR2 in that direction through more direct participation at the PEAR Group level.
