Kristopher Ives (http://pear.php.net/user/nullmind) has commented on the proposal for Web
Services::Services_UPS.
Comment:
I am working on a Services_Shipping that uses modular "driver" components,
similar to how the MDB package(s) provide different database backends. I
have worked on a DHL backend and now, due to people who DO NOT UNDERSTAND
WEB DEVELOPMENT our client has switched (at the last moment) to UPS
shipping.
Long story short: I have working DHL and UPS modules that are ready
PEAR-izing. Every eCommerce project I've ever worked on has had to automate
shipping, how is there no package in PEAR that does this? Have I missed
something?
I hope I don't end up re-creating someone elses wheel.
