Hi everyone,
As some might have noticed we haven't really been putting much energy
into our bug triage efforts as of late, partially my fault I guess but
I want to streamline the process since I feel like I shouldn't have to
whip people on IRC or on the ML just to show - I think someone else
should help me with it ;-)
So while I do think we need to announce it every time even tho we have
this nifty Google Calendar that we can subscribe people to and get
emails and such before it happens, I still believe we need a human
element - blogging, email the ML and so on, so what I want to see are
some more people than just me doing such things.
Do note I'm not looking to form a new team called the bug squad or
anything like that, in theory that's simply just the QA team on drugs
- What I need are some people that are ready to prod people to show up
when I'm not around or heck even if I'm around I want more people to
prod other people so we get higher exposure, it'd be good that said
people could let me know here so I can place blame if something goes
wrong ;-)
I'd possibly want to place one of the candidates in "charge" of every
event just to setup some responsibility.
So do people love the idea, hate it, want to tweak it ? I'm all ears
Additionally because of our bad show up to the last couple of triages
we have opted into moving it at a 3 week interval for now and add
another week if things are still slow.
I can still add people to the calendar where they can opt into getting
reminders and such ... Too bad we can't subscribe the calendar to the
pear-dev list.
Regards
Helgi
