Problems w/ "pear install <URL>"

Maybe I missed this while I was unsubscribed, but how is the package browser finding the packages it lists on pear.php.net/packages.php? It seems a little inconsistent that a package is listed, but cannot be dowloaded. I see that the info in pear.php.net/get is pulled from a db, why not look for the package.xml file instead? ===== --- Jesus M.
