Hi,
I just tried to use the Pear Installer.
I did a fresh CVS checkout and compiled PHP with
"./configure" without any params. After this "pear"
wanted zlib and I had to recompile.
If PEAR is bundled with 4.3.0 shouldn't zlib be enabled
by default?
After recompiling i did a "pear install Benchmark" and got:
--schnipp--
downloading Benchmark-1.1.tgz ...
...done: 3,876 bytes
failed to copy /tmp/pearqZetI2/Benchmark-1.1/Timer.php to
/usr/local/lib/php/Benchmark/Timer.php
failed to copy /tmp/pearqZetI2/Benchmark-1.1/Iterate.php to
/usr/local/lib/php/Benchmark/Iterate.php
failed to copy /tmp/pearqZetI2/Benchmark-1.1/doc\timer_example.php to
/usr/local/share/php/doc/pear/Benchmark/doc\timer_example.php
install ok
--schnipp--
I don't know yet why the installer fails, but install is _not:_ "ok".
