That's true, in the GNU Tar format the path must be with '/' separators.
Only the access to the file system can be with DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.
When I do the Archive_Tar synchro between pear/Archive_Tar and
php4/pear/Archive, I didn't check what was really modified, I just trust it
was OK. I should have look more in details.
May be I can look at that, I should remember the way I write this ...
