Hi,
seemingly there are some problems when using PEAR with PHP's safe_mode
enabled:
Our system administrator told me today, that he is having enourmous
problems setting up PEAR on a system that uses safe mode. The problem
is, that the user, who is executing the script that uses PEAR, isn't
allowed to access /usr/local/lib/php (where the PEAR files reside) due
to the safe mode limitations ("The script whose uid is xxxx is not
allowed to access ..."). IIRC there was also a report some weeks
ago on php-dev about the same problem.
How should this be handled?
