[I am a Cache_Lite developer]
Cache_Lite is a different module than Cache. IMHO, Cache/Lite is not the right place for it.
Why not rename it to CacheLite ?
With files :
CacheLite.php
CacheLite/Output.php
CacheLite/Function.php
