strange, there is _no_ file called pear (there are pear.in pear.m4...)
I just get php 4.2.3-Win32.zip, unziped it under c:\php4, added c:\php4 to
my path under win2k, run
wget -qO- pear.php.net/go-pear | php -q
in the windowsbox (cmd). the installation wents fine, but ends with:
---------------
** WARNING! Backed up old pear to C:\\php4\pear.bat_old
The 'pear' command is now at your service at c:\php4\pear
** The 'pear' command is not currently in your PATH, so you need to
** use 'c:\php4\pear' until you have added
** 'c:\php4' to your PATH environment variable.
Run it without parameters to see the available actions, try 'pear list'
to see what packages are installed, or 'pear help' for help.
--------------------
- there is no C:\\php4\pear.bat_old, but C:\php4\pear.bat_old
- there is no 'pear' command at all, but pear.bat
- I cant use c:\php4\pear, because there is no such file
- c:\php4 is in $PATH:
cmd: PATH -> .... NSTAN~1\JOVE1.6\bin;C:\php4;Z:.;
well, the pear installer not works for me on win2k. I hope this
helps to get the installer working.
