No much luck, short of fixing all the DSSSL for HTML that came w/ my Linux distribution, the output is not really XHTML compliant. Fixing the local definitions in peardoc just works for examples, etc. On a hunch I tried using the xsl stylesheets on the phpdoc dir tree (main PHP manual), and that does generate tags that are lowercased, but the model is not strictly XHTML, but HTML, similar results than the docs generated from the DSSSL (except for the case of tags and attributes). Hacking the xsl/html.xsl in phpdoc to point to import the xhtml/chunkfast.xsl that I have from my distro seems to work better. Tested using 'tidy' on the generated HTML files and tidy was happy with the output. Bottomline: not the ultimate solution, but perhaps using XSL stylesheets instead of the default DSSSL might make life easier (at least I can understand what's going on in XSLT). Also there are other XSL for HTMLHelp and such, eg. http://www.dpawson.co.uk/docbook/styling/htmlhelp.html Won't have time to keep playing with this for at least a couple of weeks, so if someone wants to keep investigating the XSL possibilities for PEARDOC, check the URL above and the way they are doing it in phpdoc. --- "Jesus M.
