I know :-). But I did not mention PECL in this case, because I did
not want to confuse Brent with yet another abbreveation. Currently
PEAR and PECL are a bit divided, because there isn't hardly any
installer stuff for PECL and there have been some plans to move
PECL into it's own CVS module one fine day.
Anyways, C code is there and you are absolutely right :).
