Dear Firman, Greg and Roger, Thanks very much for all the help, eventually got it working following Greg's email and comment smade by Firman and Roger, so here goes. Before running the go-pear.bat edit the line (shown below) by removing the -n %PHP_BIN% -n -d output_.... -n tells the cli PHP not to use php.ini. This is incorrect behavior, and will be fixed in the next release, hopefully. Now run the go-pear.bat and follow on screen prompts, confirming the file layout for your pear installation. This will create a new batch file called pear which I then hired wired, having removed the error trapping, essentially you end up with the following: - @ECHO OFF "c:\Php\cli\php.exe" -C -d output_buffering=1 -d include_path="c:\Php\pear" -f "c:\Php\pear\pearcmd.php" -- %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9 @ECHO ON Double click the "PEAR_ENV.reg" file and now run the pear.bat from the shell and it will work, to test it use the following arguament "pear list" adn it should output the packages installed. PS. make sure that your php.ini has the c:\Php\pear directory in the include setting. Once again, thanks for everyones help and hope this helps someone else one day. Regards, Charlie.
