Hi Ignatius,The code for creating tags is in XML_Util, not in XML_Serializer. To fix this would require rewriting one part of XML_Util, because it is static and cannot be extended (hence our first example of why using static classes limits extensibility) Perhaps adding an option to XML_Util::createTag to ignore empty tags and generate them like everything else would solve this? GregSurely it is fairly easy to transform an empty tag into your desired form with a REGEX processing after your XML serialization. (for the time being I leave the exercise to the reader...)Yes, You are right completely and it puts me also before no bigger problems :-) to build an appropriate regex. My wish would be to be had this option directly in XML_Serializer. I hope this is not to be measured. If Stephan informs me that he does not find this meaningfully, no time or desire has ;-) has then do I the other variant. However, till there I still have hope. Perhaps this function is little bit faster in the integrated version than the additional regex. However, this is only an assumption.
