Well Majordomo and Ezmlm weren't written because someone decided PHP
wasn't up to the job. They were written for other reasons. PHP *can* be
used for mass mailing; it may not be the most efficient method, but it
sure is one of the easiest. They key factor is to design the app to fit
the task, and not (in this particular case) to use off the shelf
components that weren't written with mass mailing in mind.
