Hello
I am trying to setup PEAR ona SuSE 7.3 box; I downloaded
and compiled php-4.2.2 as follows:
$ ./configure --enable-force-cgi-redirect --with-pgsql --without-mysql
$ make
$ make install
copied the php.ini-reccomended in /usr/local/lib/php.ini
then I tried to install the PEAR package manager with this
"lynx -source http://pear.php.net/go-pear | php
-q"
but it just does nothing, eventually I issue CTRL^C
to get a prompt back. Moreover, I get also this error:
anto@pgsql:~> pear help login
PHP Notice: Undefined index: argv in /usr/local/lib/php/Console/Getopt.php
on
line 207
PHP Notice: Undefined variable: HTTP_SERVER_VARS in
/usr/local/lib/php/Console
/Getopt.php on line 208
Could not read cmd args (register_argc_argv=Off?)
Usage: pear [options] command [command-options] <parameters>
Type "pear help options" to list all options.
any suggestion on what am I doing wrong?
thanks
anto
