You need to upgrage the pear packages manager. Here are the commands to do it :
// Tradicional Unix
# lynx -source http://pear.php.net/go-pear | php
// Modern Unix
# wget -qO- pear.php.net/go-pear | php -q
This will launch the go-pear script, follow the instruction during the process.
