I tried but nothing happens, like before; interesting thing is that
# wget -qO- pear.php.net/go-pear
outputs the php code, so it looks like a problem with
my local php installation... :-(
I also saved the output to a file and then
# cat /tmp/bla.php | php -q
but still, nothing happens ....
any further suggestion?
