Antonello,
If you already have the go-pear script locally, then
1) make sure that you are not using output buffering, i.e. you should have:
output_buffering = off
in your php.ini
2) call the script using:
php -q -f /tmp/blah.php
Before (2) if you want to make sure that the script is OK when you got it, do:
php -l /tmp/blah.php
the "-l" is used to check for syntax errors.
