I'm developing on an OS X box and will be hosting on either a windows
(yech) or linux (yay!) machine, depending on decisions that are beyond my
control. I'm using pear for things like DB abstraction, and SMARTY for
templates.
My question is: how do I use Pear on my OS X box? I'm running 10.1.5
currently, will upgrade to Jaguar in the next month. I've got the packages
that came standard with the install and they work beautifully. Anything
else I need to know? I haven't been able to set up the package
manager--has anyone been able to make this work? Also, when I want to
install more packages--where do I go? I can't find a central repository
and the CVS documentation hasn't been written.
Any tips on using Pear on an OS X machine would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Jim
