PEAR works on MACOSX like on any other Linux boxes.
From the command line, try 'which pear' to check if it is installed. If not,
use the go-pear script to install it. Also, check for 'which php' first as
you will need php compiled with --enable-cli option. If you don't manage to
recompile php with these new options, use version 4.3pre1 or a more recent
one, it compiles much more easily.
Also, check in /usr/local/bin for php and pear as this directory are not in
PATH. You might need to set the environment variable to this directory using
'setenv' command.
Good luck,
