Well, personally I'm a bit puzzled. Maybe we should say this was
really the last time we let things like this slip through? I don't
want to stand here as the big show-stopper (sorry Harry), but to me
it sounds like some things went wrong.
I see that there were only quite minor changes in general. However,
no longer extending from PEAR might be an issue for some people. And
the package has been stable before, so it might already been widely
in use.
Since there is no PEAR-QA-team yet, let's wait if one of the people
currently in charge thinks it's worth pulling the release.
@Harry:
Current rules state that a new major should become it's own package,
so to be able for all future major releases to coexist and not break
apps relying on one or the other.
