I found the problem's source: I do not have php-cgi installed.
When PEAR_RunTests firstly encounters a GET/POST/UPLOAD/whatever
header, it switches $this->_php to cgi. It never switches back! See
line 318.
Further, it switches to cgi although php-cgi does not exist - you test
it with
> if (false !== $this->system_with_timeout('php-cgi -v')) {
but that does not return false - even if php-cgi does not exist.
Instead of false, the following array is returned:
> array(2) {
> [0]=>
> int(127)
> [1]=>
> string(0) ""
> }
This is the evil's root.
