Ok, I've started writing a basic wrapper around libmp3lame (lame.sourceforge.net). Now, I'm quite eager to get this into pecl if at all possible - but the license is a touch on the odd side of things. Basically, it's LGPL apart from the decompression routines which use code from the mpg123 project - and that's all gpl. If I were to leave out the decompression routines (that is, expanding an mp3 to a wav for example), would this still be allowable into pecl or not ?
