I figure that would be best as well. I haven't looked at the existing ID3 extension in quite some time, so I can't really say what it would take to merge them together. Perhaps a few #defines to enable the extra abilities of id3lib if it's present during the build or something. If the extension's author was really in to that in the first place, I guess. Should one or both of the other extensions make their way into PECL, how difficult is it to import their associated CVS histories? The code for those extensions goes back over 3 years, so it would seem a shame to dump the revision history... J
