Zend invariably promotes PHP as much as possible in every effort even
remotely related to Marketing -- Anybody who can count to 10 with their
shoes on knows that Zend success is directly tied to PHP success.
I think if anything were to be done for PHP Marketing, independent of Zend,
it would be more germane to ask the Zend Marketing team "What can we do to
help you promote PHP?" rather than "Could you give some thought to how to
promote PHP?" I can pretty much guarantee they've done a lot of thinking on
the latter, but there are limited resources, as always, generally money and
people-time.
Perhaps, just as the QA team was formed, a PHP Marketing team could spring
into existence... Won't help the money issue, but OpenSource PHP Marketing
Team sure could do wonders on the people-time, eh?
