This bug is driving me wild. Running a script and want to insure that it
never hangs. However, if I don't accept a connection, but the machine does
accept the packet, fputs will hang trying to send the data. Love if there
was a way to time out fputs, or if there was a way I could detect if the
connection didn't properly open.
Have some network traces showing the different conditions if anyone is
interested.
Love using PHP, and would like to be able to count on it not to stall out.
Give us some sort of error trapping...
