Unfortunately still having the problem. Is it known to successfully
work in dso mode with apache under solaris? As a quick and dirty
test, I got the php4RC1 and apache-1.3.12 tarballs, stuck them on
a spare linux box, and managed to get everything working with
no trouble. Essentially the same config flags.

Took out
--enable-force-cgi-redirect=yes
just in case. Also took out
--enable-sysvshm=yes
--enable-sysvsem=yes
Recompiled/installed apache. Still having the exact error:
ap_block_alarms: referenced symbol not found
and apache fails to start.

Yes.

Any way I can look into this further? Any suggestions about what
else to look at... I'm out of ideas.
Thanks again...
