Hello:
Thanks for all of those who have submitted thier suggestions. Alas, I'm
still not able to get MySQL recognized as an extension when I use the
phpinfo() function.
I tried several suggestions.
1. Tried "./configure --option1 ...-optionn | grep -i mysql". That helped me
to recognize that MySQL wasn't in the right place. I have ran the configure
for MySQL again, adding "--prefix=/usr/local/mysql" to it. But still no
change.
2. I tried compiling with the --with-apxs extension, even gone so far as to
add a path when it didn't work. Ultlimately, it would tell me that apxs may
be broken. I went to apxs and tweaked with it as per instructions to see the
FAQ in 4.11 section. I've made the changes as it had asked, but still it
would not recognize the script as anything less than broken via ./configure.
3. The last config I've attempted was the following...
.configure --with-apache=/usr/local/src/apache/apache_1.3.12
--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql
As I've stated, it's still not giving me MySQL in the extensions section.
I could really use some advice as to how to go about this. I am using Redhat
6.2 and MySQL 3.22.32.
Please advise....thanks....
A very tired Velanche :)
