While you're adding short tags - what about adding another one for easier session id propagation? If we don't provide this functionality in the core, people will probably start adding user code and do it themselves in many incompatible ways. I just visited a site (www.conrad.de, "Europe's largest specialist dealers in electronic products") which still feels the need to educate people on their use of cookies. I've been involved with such projects myself and know the trouble to push people to turn on cookies. Many people are simply too "plain" to understand what a cookie is in technical terms. They are stupid enough to rely on the media to provide them with "expert information." (yes, partial flame. I've to deal with users from time to time...) What worries me even more is that AltaVista has ~6500 entries for +danger +cookie* So, back to the technical part. We could do it the PHPLIB way, e.g. <??<url>??> and rewrite the <url> to include the session id, if necessary. Or even more simpler <???> which would be substituted with "session_name=session_id". -- Regards, Sascha Schumann Consultant
