Actually, the arguments against it are reasonable (and the savings
is only four characters), but now that ASP has proliferated a
similar syntax, it's worth adopting it.
And it will give people one more reason to make the leap to PHP4.
I'm sure this will be a persuasive one for some people even though
its so minor.
Oh, but on the session id thing, what's wrong with "<?=session_id()?>"?
Aren't constants handled at "compile"-time, whereas the session id
might not be decided upon until execution time?
