Andrian,
iodbc is just a driver manager. You will still need a driver, and from
linux/unix you will need to install something on the server side.
Also, if you use our drivers, compile --with-openlink instead
of --with-openlink.
I've attached a revised Howto that covers this.
Best regards,
Andrew

Subject: iodbc Linux driver problems
We installed iODBC from the iodbc.org RPMs. Compiled PHP4 --with-iodbc.
Our question is where we can find a driver? We tried OpenLink oplodbc.so
to connect to a MSSQL 6.5 server, but it gives the following error:
SQL Error: [OpenLink][ODBC]RPC: uknown host, SQL state 08004 in SQL
connect
Also, what do we need to enter in our odbc.ini for ServerType and Host:
we now have MSSQL and the IP address of the MSSQL server.
Our impression is that when using iodbc there's no need to install
anything on the server side. Is that correct?
Any help will be appreciated.
Andrian
