You should use only -pthread. This will automatically do the right thing
(you can add -lc_r -lgcc_r, but you cannot remove the implicit -lc -lgcc).

Yeah, compiling Apache with CFLAGS=-pthread will help. Then configure PHP
with --enable-experimental-zts.
