iodbc crashing while connecting to MSSQL

I have RC@ running compiled with IODBC. When connecting to MSSQL, PHP crashes with a SIG 11. There is no error returned. Using the testprogram compiled from the IODBC code we can connect but immediately get an error of "Dialog Failed". The odbc.ini is correct and is being found by the driver manager. PHP returns nothing, nada, zip. The IODBC sample program claims an error of IM008 which is "Dialog Failed" but nothing shows up in the trace. The httpd error_log shows SIG 11 for PHP. I'm inclined to belive this is a problem with IODBC, has anyone else had problems? is there another ODBC driver known to work currently? Thanks, DAve.
