FWIW, IMHO, Ultimater's post was helpful, and should either have been left, or been combined with the earlier post somehow (at the very least fixing the coding errors in the earlier post and crediting Ultimater for the fix). Broken code is little help to anybody, even if having multiple slightly different variants online is considered confusing or unnecessary.

Ah, thanks for the link Peter. It shed some light on the situation for me.I'm guessing it must have fallen into the "just overall confusing" category and got "deleted" rather than "rejected". So its clear, my motovation for my two fails posts as been Jeff's bad code which causes an error for more than one reason if you run it: http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.types.string.php#103618 While at the same time trying to promote his idea with the code I have already written. I think I'm just gonna give up on trying to find the "right" wording if my post is just gonna get deleted on the grounds of being "confusing" just because its in reply-to *jeff at kingdesk dot com'*s code. I can't think of a more-clear way to state my post if clarity is the issue. I leave it to you guys on your end to edit my post and perhaps the other dude's if you'd like to use snippet and you happen to find some resolution to the issue(s) whatever it/they was/were. -- Ultimater p.s. I have a good 5+ or so<http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Aphp.net%2Fmanual%2Fen+%22ultimater+at+gmail+dot+com%22>quality notes floating around the site already and looking forward to expanding the site as usual. p.p.s thanks for looking into this issue and thanks for the reply.
