I am nowhere near being a designer type, but the lack of contrast (I think) makes this difficult to
read. Keeping with the is_int() example, here's what the sphinx theme looks like:

Not proposing this, but something about this scheme makes it easier to read. Maybe the color issue
is a site-wide problem, not sure, but hopefully one of the designer nerds could share insight and
ideas on the matter. But regardless, the proposed manual look is an improvement over the current.
