Event
calendar is a bad description I suppose.
[My] idea is to make it into more of an event and user group listing.
Being able to browse through User Groups by location (and even "near
me") and see information about the group and their meeting schedule..
Allow people to register events with images like we do on
php.net/conferences, and replace that page with the new event system,
listing just the 'conferences' category perhaps..
Keep in mind our infrastructure isn't exactly trivial. Mirrors cannot
run mysql database for example, or connect to one...
As for the admin interface to edit/approve/reject events.. would be
cool if we could run it on https://edit.php.net/events for
example..
:]
Haven't really thought it all through, hoping someone just takes off
with the idea and creates something cool :)
