A degree in computer science does not necessarily measure one's
proficiency in a given programming language --- or anything else. It
merely indicates said student satisfied the requirements of the
granting institution.
I may have a degree in astrophysics with a minor in quantum
mechanics, but I can assure you, interdimensional travel is still
quite difficult.
