any help appreciated IIS4, NT4 ServicePack6, PHP4.0.1

I've installed php on a machine with nt4, iis4 and all went ok following the instructions: php.ini file... ISAPI filters... application mappings... I tried on another machine, same sequence of actions but nothing works. After giving a look at different postings I've tried: ------------------------- - using php.exe. I succeeded using it from the command line but: no way to let it work calling it with a ".php" file from the web application mappings well configured with the path to php.exe and the %s %s to pass arguments no way to use some extensions like crypt.dll, no probs with calendar and some others tried to comment the doc root and some others directives in the php.ini file all the configurations are exactly from the manual. checked several times. ------------------------- - using php4isapi.dll without ISAPI mappings (some postings said to try this) ------------------------- - using php4isapi.dll trying different positions of the main dll's and different positions of the extensions. Any idea to get things working it's really appreciated thanks in advance francesco
