Hello, Assume that old php3 files are stored in c:\php and it has been work fine, I moved to php4 by doing these steps : 1. extract php4 files to c:\php4 2. copy php4ts.dll to \windows\system 3. rename c:\php folder to c:\php3 4. rename c:\php4 folder to c:\php I make no changes in registry. If I'd like to change back to PHP3 I just rename c:\php3 to c:\php. regards, Sri Purnomo -----Original Message----- From: scott [mailto:scott@broadcast-warehouse.com] Sent: Monday, July 10, 2000 3:39 AM To: php-windows@lists.php.net Cc: php-general@lists.php.net; php-php4@lists.php.net; php-install@lists.php.net Subject: [PHP-WIN] from PHP3 to 4 in 1 difficult step I am trying to upgrade from PHP 3 to 4 with no luck I am running 98 with PWS and php 3 which works fine. I have put php4 in c:/php and edited the .ini correctly as php3 and that worked so I can't work out what's wrong. DLL's in windows/system as well as c:/php! php4 reg file has only 1 entry compared to 3?!? any comments. Anyone else successfully moved from 3 to 4 easily? any tips? Have you got both running together? I can't seem to find any online win 9x specific upgrade info.
