Do this: cvs up -dPA ; ./cvsclean ; ./buildconf ; ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/bin/apxs ; make (assuming you're pulling the stuff from CVS and not using a snapshot. If latter, get a new snapshot and do only the configure part) If the above works, start adding your configure options one by one until it breaks. Then let us know which one breaks the build. I'm compiling on a clean built Redhat Linux 7.2 i386 machine. I have searched the bug database but couldn't find any thing related. the link command. If I copy that link line and remove /usr/local/lib from the module list, it works fine.
