Yes, it is possible using ODBC, especially if your Apache/php setup is on a windows machine. But mine is on a Linux machine.
So far I have been able to get some info. Seems IBM will let you download a DB2 installation for Linux and you can somehow use that do make a connection to the AS/400. Then PHP uses the local DB2 installation's connection to access the remote AS/400 DB2.
But I haven't been able to get the Linux DB2 installation to connect to the remote DB2. I keep getting a "license not found" error.
Still in need of help!

An IBM specialist said that it is possible with odbc technology. But I don't try it. le mar 16-10-2001 at 04:30 Jean-Christian Imbeault a écrit : I have PHP running on a RH 7.1 Linux machine. I've searched the archives and a few other places but cannot find any information on how to open a connection from a Linux box to an AS/400 DB2. (Though I can find how to connect a windows-PHP using ODBC or a Linux-PHP to a DB2 as long as the DB2 is on the same Linux machine). I'm sure someone out there must have done this before, right? :) So how's it done? Thanks!
