Mr. Andrei,
The article presented in my previous post is an excellent way to realize the
main arguments in question. Realistically if someone on the list would
actually want to see the list's address in the reply-to header, they will
have to defeat the generally accepted points presented in the
http://www.unicom.com/pw/reply-to-harmful.html
article. My previous email
is not meant to endorse or condemn the practice of reply-to header munging,
I am just trying to inform the original poster what he is up against. This
was argued some months ago on the php3 mailing list, the argument was
defeated by the poster reading the mentioned article.
I suppose if you just want to complain, then don't take the article
seriously, but if you want to actually change something, write up some
counter points against the article. I would guarantee statements like:

isn't
> realistic at all.

are a waste of time. You are assuming that life is much simpler for many
users. I personally like the freedom of setting a different reply-to
header, I know how to use Outlook Express, and I have no problems setting up
effective filters.
