Did you figure this out yet? Basically what you are running into is a bug
in glibc-2.1.x which prevents a binary that has not been linked against
libpthreads from loading a library that has. You can either use the
Oracle 8.0.5 libraries which were not linked against pthreads, or you can
recompile your Apache httpd binary and link in -lpthreads
