Hello Sascha, On 24-Aug-99 11:54:27, you wrote: >> >> But how do I retrieve an A record for a domain in PHP? I think you have some kind of misconception here. >In common speech, if one asks for the IP of a certain host, he >wants to see the A (=address) record. Your question was "how do I >retrieve an A record for a domain in PHP?" >I suppose you mean host instead of domain (www.php.net is a host, >and php.net is its domain), and then gethostbyname does what you >asked for. >If that is not what you want, please tell us what you need. What I want is to get the MX records e-na.net or any other domain. It seems I can't get the CNAME record as well. If getting the A record would get me there it would help but it doesn't seem to be it. Regards, Manuel Lemos Web Programming Components using PHP Classes.
