No! You should have only one CATALOG file in your system. Append CATALOG.docbk30 to your CATALOG file and check the installation with xemacs psgml-mode. sgml-catalog-files '("CATALOG" "/usr/lib/xemacs/xemacs-packages/etc/psgml/CATALOG" "/usr/lib/sgml/CATALOG") Every distribution have another naming scheme. With RH the CATALOG is in /usr/lib/sgml/CATALOG. -Egon
