I just don't get why people refuse to use existing tools and insist on
reinventing the bike just because they don't like it's color. Just use
mail filter, and you get your digest. Bug reports are impossible to manage
and/or answer if they are in digest form.
The more php will grow the more php-dev will be filled with bug reports.
I think everybody knows that nobody of the core developers has time to do less important things...
My point is that the communication should entirely occur *via the bug system* (as bugzilla does) - it´s easy to reply or to add comments, just enter the bug #xxxx and add a comment. The reporter and the component owner receives a mail - as you can see *it is* possible to manage and/or answer to bug reports even in digest form.
The bug system would need changes and nobody wants to "lose" his time and I think we´ll have to live with all the bug reports in our (even filtered) mail folders.
BTW, to cite bugzilla, if anyone who´s on bugzilla would receive any change and/or new bug, the system would crap everyones mailbox with megabytes every day I think.
