Something along the lines of 1000% improvement has to be a result of a major improvement in the scripting engine, and I don't recall making any revolutionary changes in Zend. What kind of script did you test? Can you post a couple of benchmarks with their results under 4.0.1 and 4.0.2RC1?Perhaps this "weird bug patch" Andi removed, caused some system to run slow too? Well, completely uneducated guess :) That´s the only patch that produced things that made absolutetly no sense andré
