I couldn't get this to work until I set the following values in the php.ini
file:
output_buffering = On;
output_handler = ob_gzhandler;
Now I'm getting compressed output, but none of the browsers that I've tested
it with seem to work. I have tried IE 5.5, Netscape 6 and Opera 4.02.
What's the status of this?
Thanks,
Blake Schwendiman

still doesn't work for me (linux,w32,ouput_handler,ob_start()), none),
maybe I'm to stupid :)
gzencode() and setting manual header() works fine...
would be nice if someone else tries.
