As I already said weeks ago (before RC3) - I oppose that.

    Stabilizing this change in 4.0.7 would add at least a month
    or two without providing any advantage to the userbase.
I disagree. I don't think it should require more than a couple of weeks, but even if it takes a month, now is the time to do it, and delaying it the way you suggested is what I opposed to. I'm off this thread. Zeev
